Most vehicles are built using rubber bushings in the control arms, strut rods, suspension and body mounts, sway bars, shocks, etc. In addition to being on the soft side , they tend to deteriorate rapidly. This can lead to premature component failure, a "spongy" ride and less-than ideal handling.
